homelless insects

I made a lovely shelter for insects to survive the cold Dutch winter. All sorts of creapy crawlies could find a warm winter home in here. My dear husband who is of the 'clear it all out' kind made blocks for the hearth and also chopped this shelter into blocks. It might become a little bit too hot for my little friends on a certain moment....

illegal chestnut growing

last week the neighboor asked if I was growing something for a smoke. I didnot got it clearly but when I came home a couple of hours later I think she saw this lovely chestnut 'start ups' as something illegal near my frontdoor. The chestnut collection of my son turned into a mini chestnut forest.....

vergeet mij niet.....!

en ja hoor, alles bloeit weer eens tegelijk: de prunus met de veel te overdadige roze bloesem, alle tulpen, de viooltjes, de clematis. blijft er nog wat over voor de rest van het jaar? moet dat nu allemaal tegelijk? Ja dat moet, ieder jaar weer.

toch snap ik ieder voorjaar wel waarom die kleine, maar prachtige bloempjes vergeet-me-nietjes heten. in die schreeuwerige overdaad mag je dit toch niet over het hoofd zien? Vergeet mij niet..vergeet mij niet....!
